Call for Submissions for Autumn Issue Now Closed

Please note that the submission period for Blast Furnace's Autumn edition is now closed.

Any poems submitted to the journal from November 16, 2011 through January 1, 2012, will not be read, and the email in which they were sent will be deleted.

Rebecca Clever, editor/publisher

A native of Pittsburgh, Rebecca has served as a contributing reporter, newspaper editor, columnist, promotional and technical writer, and managing book editor & designer. In addition to receiving a Pushcart Prize nomination, she is the first recipient of the Laurie Mansell Reich poetry award, co-sponsored by the Academy of American Poets and Chatham University, was a quarter-finalist for the Nimrod Literary Awards Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry, and is a past nominee for the AWP Intro Journals Project. Rebecca graduated from Chatham in 2011 with an MFA in Creative Writing.

Submission Guidelines:

Include no more than three (3) poems per submission and submit at http://blastfurnace.submishmash.com/Submit
Poet's accompanying bio should not exceed seventy-five (75) words.
Blast Furnace does not accept previously published work.
Simultaneous submissions are permitted. However, please courteously inform Blast Furnace if submitted work is first accepted elsewhere.
No compensation is provided to writers for accepted submissions.
If a poet’s work initially appears in our journal and is later published elsewhere, we request an acknowledgement that the piece first appeared in Blast Furnace.
